Site update, 3.19, 7 PM Central

Greetings all,

Just a brief notice to let you know that I will be updating Zunispirits.com with a selection of new Zuni fetish carvings Wednesday evening, March 19th, at 7 PM central time.

Included in this selection are carvings from Maxx Laate, Willard Laate, Hubert Pincion, Lynn Quam, Todd Westika, Brian Yatsattie, Verla Lasiloo Jim, Ron Laahty, Rick Quam, II, James Cheama and Georgia Quandelacy.  Antler, turquoise, sandstone, jasper, abalone and fossil ivory are some of the stones used.  We hope you'll tune in Wednesday to take a look at this newest update to the site.

Darlene and I would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere condolences to the Seowtewa family of Zuni.  Dr. Alex Seowtewa was one of the first people we met in Zuni and one of the reasons we became so enchanted with Zuni, its history, culture and artisans.  He was a very good friend to us and we know that he will be sorely missed by his family and his community.  We are grateful for the times we shared with him at The Old Zuni Mission.

Bests always,

Dave during one of our rare Texas snow storms of 2010
